The Mookie

So, after being appropriately schooled by Fuel55 in one of his recent posts, I made it a point to not play weak-tight poker. Tonight's Mookie was the first opportunity to try this out.

The first few levels were nothing out of the ordinary. Some good hands, a few c-bets, the standard.

Here's a hand that came up that I picked up by getting lucky and not letting myself get pushed around.

Full Tilt Poker Game #2600913206: The Mookie-Zoom-Zoom-ZeemII (19726030), Table 5 - 30/60 - No Limit Hold'em - 22:35:13 ET - 2007/06/06
Seat 1: crazdgamer (1,700)
Seat 2: BrLKoSTa420 (1,405)
Seat 3: atomicslug (1,105)
Seat 4: HighOnPoker (2,310)
Seat 5: IslandBum1 (650)
Seat 7: boneyardxxx (1,510)
Seat 8: Patchmaster (3,170)
Seat 9: katiemother (1,385)
HighOnPoker posts the small blind of 30
IslandBum1 posts the big blind of 60
The button is in seat #3

*** HOLE CARDS ***
Dealt to crazdgamer [9h 8h]
boneyardxxx folds
Patchmaster folds
katiemother folds
crazdgamer calls 60 (yay for sooted connectors.)
BrLKoSTa420 folds
atomicslug folds
HighOnPoker calls 30
IslandBum1 checks

*** FLOP *** [Jc 2c Tc]

HighOnPoker bets 120
IslandBum1 folds
crazdgamer calls 120 (while I don't have a club, I'm fairly certain he doesn't have 2 clubs. He makes this bet with any Jack and possibly any high club. I call with 8 outs.)

*** TURN *** [Jc 2c Tc] [7s] (awesome!)

HighOnPoker bets 360
crazdgamer raises to 1,520, and is all in (if he flopped the flush, so it goes. if he didn't flop the flush, I'm best right now, and I don't want him drawing to a flush.)
HighOnPoker folds

*** TURN *** [Qh 7c Ac] [8c]
katiemother bets 360
crazdgamer calls 360 (a little concerned about 3 clubs. My club isn't very strong.)

*** RIVER *** [Qh 7c Ac 8c] [9c] (ugh)
katiemother bets 905, and is all in
crazdgamer calls 905 (crying call. need to see what she kept firing bullets with.)

*** SHOW DOWN ***
katiemother shows [8s Kc] (a flush, Ace high) (air on the flop, 3rd pair on the turn, nut flush on the river. My read was right, but I let myself get beat here.)
crazdgamer mucks
katiemother wins the pot (2,890) with a flush, Ace high

-----------------------------------------

My last hand, which wasn't caught by hand history because it was the last hand before the table broke up, was my AT vs. katiemother's AJ.

Not bad, although the combination of unluckiness and not raising with the best hand was a critical moment. I'm learning though.

Hey Crazd. I have a question regarding a hand that we played in last night's Hoy. I actually posted the hand on my site as You Decide #53, so if you have a chance, I'd really appreciate it if you read the post and give your opinion. If you are wiliing to disclose your cards, that would be awesome.
